One Way SkitThis One Way Skit is an actor/puppet skit. You will need 3 actors. Each should have a cardboard or real steering wheel that they are carrying as if they are driving. The puppet stage should be set up near the center of the acting area. Driver one enters from stage right and heads across the stage. Another driver enters stage left and is driving in the opposite direction. They meet in the center of the stage and stop. There should be a One Way Sign on a pole standing near center stage or held up behind the puppet stage. The puppet can either be a Bible puppet or any puppet you want to use. You can also do this skit without a puppet. Simply have driver 1 say those lines as well. This One Way skit was used in a children's salvation lesson. Driver 1: (waves) Hello there. Driver 2: Hello. Where are you headed? Driver 1: I’m on the highway of life. How about you? Driver 2: So am I. Driver 1: But you’re headed the wrong way. Driver 2: No I’m not. Driver 1: Yes you are. Driver 2: No, I’m not! (He “zooms” offstage in the wrong direction. As he does, another driver enters stage left, also heading in the wrong direction) Driver 1: (waves) Hello there. Driver 3: Hello. Where are you headed? Driver 1: I’m on the highway of life. How about you? Driver 3: So am I. Driver 1: But you’re headed the wrong way. Driver 3: No I’m not. Driver 1: Yes you are. Driver 3: No, I’m not! Driver 1: Yes you are … look at the sign. (points to One Way sign) Driver 3: One Way? Driver 1: That’s right. You have to go in this direction. (Points in the direction he’s heading) Driver 3: But what if I want to go a different way? Driver 1: You won’t get to the right destination. Driver 3: I won’t? Puppet: (enters) No, you won’t. Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me.” Driver 1: See, you have to go this way. Puppet: You can try all different roads, but none of them will lead you to heaven. Only Jesus is the Way. Driver 1: How about it? Driver 3: (Thinks a second or two) All right. I will. (He “turns his car around” and both of them drive off together.) Puppet: (To audience) Are you headed the right way?
